Who doesn’t love a good TED talk? It seems like whatever topic you’re looking for, someone’s talked about it in a new, interesting way. I’ve been to a couple of TEDx events before and I always come away feeling inspired, encouraged and like I can change the world. So if you get the chance to go to an event, I urge you to take it.
Not surprisingly, there are a ton of TED talks about happiness. Like this one by Shawn Achor, which I found today and instantly loved. Not just because he’s really funny (although I won’t lie; the unicorn story had me laughing out loud on the train like some kind of lunatic), but because what he’s saying makes perfect sense. And it’s really encouraging – I love the idea that we can train our brains to be happier, and that this in turn has a proven positive effect on our success levels.
If you have a spare few minutes, please check out this talk. If only for the unicorn story.
Happy Monday! 🙂
